My name is Amy Gates. Since 2006, I have been working towards my goal of breeding Australian Multigen Labradoodles.
Before obtaining any breeding dogs, I spent many months researching numerous pedigrees in the Tegan Park and Rutland Manor chocolate standard lines. Doing this research was important to me, as there has been so much interest in the history of the breed by these two Australian breeders. This research helped me choose the best dogs for my breeding program.
In early 2009, I had the opportunity to participate in a 12-week onsite dog training apprenticeship. This program included over 240 hours of hands-on dog training. I learned an enormous amount about canine behavior and development. This training has enhanced my ability to communicate with dogs in general, and enables me to begin training at a much earlier age using modern methods appropriate for young dogs.
I am originally from the Chicago area, and a Northwestern alum. I was chosen as the chapter president of Chicago Webgrrls (an organization for women in technology) during the industry’s explosive growth period in the late 1990s. In 2003 I decided to move to Seattle, where I have worked in some of the country’s highest rated customer service organizations.
Because of my background in the customer service industry and as an entrepreneur, you will experience a difference working with me to find your perfect labradoodle. I am trained in customer service "best practices," so you can expect to be provided with prompt attention and to have all of your questions answered. My goal is to respond to every email within 24 hours, and if you contact me on Facebook, the response will be even quicker. And unlike other breeders who abandon you after your puppies go home, I look forward to hearing about your growing puppy, as well as answering any questions you may encounter along the way.
I love the “Emerald City” and am happy to call Washington my new home. I met Lee after moving here. We were married in the summer of 2008. Lee’s son lives with us in our West Seattle home, and he enjoys helping us with the puppies.
